The Teide is not only the highest peak in the Macaronesia (Azores, Madeira, Cape Verde and the Canary Islands), but it is also the third largest volcano on Earth as measured from its base on the ocean floor.
During the ride to the National Park we will make frequent stops to view local fauna, flora and geographic formations to better understand the dominating volcanic landscape. The island has a very rugged terrain and has been influenced by many climatological and atmospheric conditions; thus, many different landscapes and enormous environmental wealth has been created.
